Diana Davis Art

We are delighted to be showcasing the beautiful Botanical Illustrations by Diana Davis Art to The Creative’s Loop. The intricate detail combined with bold colour creates eye-catching pieces. Here we explore how Diana Davis Art formed and the incredible achievements so far.

Who is Diana Davis Art?

After relocating to Cornwall in 2012, the creative mind behind Diana Davis Art found her new surroundings inspiring. She found that as the seasons changed, the hedgerows and cliff tops became the perfect habitat for a variety of wildflowers. Since moving to Cornwall she has incorporated elements of the Cornish landscape into some of her work.

‘Botanical Illustration is a fascinating way to combine two of my keen interests, art and gardening.’

Highlights so far

A Diploma in Botanical Illustration was achieved in 2014 under the Society of Botanical Artists, London. This was followed by a group exhibit with the South West Society of Botanical Artists in 2018. It was here at the RHS Botanical Art Exhibition that the group received a silver award. The exhibit was organised in collaboration with Plantlife and their ‘Forget-Me-Not’ campaign, initiated to raise awareness of words being omitted from the children’s’ dictionary such as blackberry, dandelion and bluebell.

Diana Davis Art currently has a range of work available to view at The Lane Gallery in Cornwall.
